Inheritance Tax
For UK resident and UK domiciled individuals Johnson Hunt is able to assist in substantially reducing the Inheritance Tax exposure.
The implementation of our strategy results in an immediate reduction of the estate with no two or seven year period running before the arrangement is effective.
The arrangement works whether the individual’s estate is comprised of illiquid or liquid assets, or indeed a mixture of both. To the extent that liquid assets are involved, there are ongoing income and capital gains tax advantages.
Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT)
Johnson Hunt is able to offer updated planning opportunities in this area with positive leading Queen’s Counsel opinions that specifically address this legislation.
The planning sets out to reduce SDLT liabilities to 0% on both commercial and residential property acquisitions. This extends to the purchase of land too.
Business Turnaround
Johnson Hunt can provide equity finance through to convertible loan notes. We have a network of successful business orientated High Net Worth Individuals with funds for the right businesses who have been unable to get funding from more mainstream options, such as their bank.
Part of the process is to demonstrate the need and use of the funds. The businesses have to be viable or show the ability that they can be made viable with the right support. We do not simply put money into a business and walk away.
